JOJO SAYS: “I don’t want to get sick from other cat guests. So I’d appreciate some health precautions if you don’t mind.”
Pat says, “Because we are a small, boutique boarding option, there are less cats coming and going and we do have several procedures in place:”
- FLEA FREE! We have never had a flea, and we certainly don’t want any. Please make sure your cat has had a recent flea treatment. All cats will be checked for fleas, ear mites, ringworm, any other parasites or contagious conditions. Cats found with such conditions will not be accepted. (Please do not administer a flea treatment 48 hours prior to boarding due to potential reactions) .
- We require our feline guests to be vaccinated against feline distemper and rabies. (DO NOT get your cat vaccinated 48 hours prior to boarding due to potential reactions) If your cat is not vaccinated, contact me directly for exceptions pat@catsinnonthechagrin.com
- Upper Respiratory Infection – If you feel that your cat is sick or may be sick, please DO NOT BRING YOUR CAT TO BOARD WITH US! Feline Upper Respiratory Infection (F.U.R.I.) is very serious and can infect our facility and the other cats staying with us. It is up to you as an owner to be responsible for your pet. If your cat is discovered with F.U.R.I., they will be removed from the facility immediately and taken to your veterinarian or emergency clinic. All vet and delivery charges will apply.
- All cats aged eight months or older must be spayed or neutered.
- For the health of all concerned – Please remove flea and tick collars prior to your stay.
